I like ice cream. I wanted to know how to make it. Can some one send me the best recipe. How to make vanilla ice cream with fine and smooth texture?
The best way to make fine smooth ice cream is with an ice cream maker - you don't need one - but it sure makes it easier!
Here's my favorite vanilla ice cream recipe...
1 cup milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
After you鈥檝e mixed the ingredients together, pour this mixture in your ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
You can spice up this recipe by adding fun mix-ins like crumbled Oreos for Cookies and Cream or Chocolate Chips and Cookie Dough Balls for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream.
This is the quick version of ice cream making. You can also make ice cream without an ice cream maker! If you want a more detailed description or a different recipe - you can check out
http://www.serving-ice-cream.com/ice-cre鈥?/a>
You should be able to find all the help you need!
Adding a banana or gelatin to the ingredients before you freeze it, can help make the ice cream more smooth!
I hope you make the smoothest ice cream ever! How to make vanilla ice cream with fine and smooth texture?
On the counter in a pan pour in 1 qt half and half and 2 cups whole milk and 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons of Vanilla, 1 cup Sugar - beat til smooth and cook on medium heat til mixture is hot. Pour into shallow pan and freeze in freezer or use Ice Cream or Yogurt freezer.. either hand crank or electric.
Don't fill shallow pan too full - it is easy to spill. I usually set pan in bottom of freezer and then pour it in there. :)
Fine and smooth texture? Make liquid hydrogen coffee icecream. its the best!

Can you substitute anything for cream of tartar?
I am makeing a praline cookie recipe that calls for it, but I don't want to go to the store. Can you substitute anything for cream of tartar?
Your answer can be found at this link:
http://whatscookingamerica.net/Q-A/Cream鈥?/a>
Good luck! Can you substitute anything for cream of tartar?
You can use white vinegar (NOT the cider kind), use 3 times the amount of tarter originally asked for in the recipe. You can do the same with lemon juice, also, but neither is as good as the cream of tarter pre-packaged. I've done both of the substitutions at different times and regretted it both times.
But hey, if it was me, in this snowstorm were having? I'd give the vinegar a whirl if you think the lemon will mar the flavor of your dish.
There is no recommended substitution for cream of tartar per cdkitchen.
Substitutes
1 tablespoon of lemon per 1 tsp Cream of Tartar.
Or, apparently you can use Baobab tree pods, though going to the supermarket to buy Cream of Tartar might be a bit less involved than hunting for a nearby Baobab tree.myspace cursors

What is an effective bleaching cream without hydroquinone? And why is hydroquinone so bad?
I'm trying to fade a way a scar and someone told me to use a bleaching cream without hydroquinone. Dr. Palmer's skin whitener has hydroquinone, and I thought it would be good. So now I'm sort of confused about what I should try. What is an effective bleaching cream without hydroquinone? And why is hydroquinone so bad?
It's bad because it's a carcinogen. Yet another carcinogen in US cosmetics...imagine that...
This use is banned in some countries (e.g. France) because of fears of a cancer risk.

Hydroquinones cause specific mutations and lead to cellular transformation and in vivo tumorigenesis.

hydroquinone is carcinogenic;
mercury and steroids are bad too;
there are cheap, safe and effective bleaching creams available.

one time in highschool we made ice cream in a plastic bag..and i wondered if anyone had a recipe for something like that.or even something similar. Is there a fast easy way to make ice cream without an ice cream maker?
I just did this as an experiment!
You put cream and a little sugar in a plastic bag, and make sure it is sealed TIGHT. Put ice in a metal or plastic bowl, and then the bag of cream. Put ALOT of salt on the ice, and stir it all up with a wooden spoon for about 10 minutes.
It actually tastes pretty good...Is there a fast easy way to make ice cream without an ice cream maker?

What is the best skin cream to use for baby eczema?
Nothing seems to be helping my 10 month old son with his eczema. He is so red and itchy...is there anything that can bring him relief besides hydrocortisone which isn't even helping? What is the best skin cream to use for baby eczema?

I've worked at a health food store for 10 years, and people consistantly like this stuff...
If you have a hard time finding it at a health food store, some target stores sell the one for diabetics in the foot care section, its the same stuff, only packaged differently.
Also, make sure you use free and clear detergent on all the stuff that touches your babies skin....perfume and dyes are notorious for irritating skin conditions. What is the best skin cream to use for baby eczema?
I recently have had the opportunity to try some new baby care products from Arbonne International. My baby girl has severly dry skin with red patches. I had tried everything from the brand name to the no names. Her skin was getting progressively worse.
Someone approached me with some baby skin care samples from Arbonne International. I had never heard of this company so I was a little skeptical, but anything was worth a shot for the bettering of my baby鈥檚 skin.
I was very pleased with the results that were achieved through one weeks use. Her skin has never been better and I will never use anything else.
Arbonne鈥檚 products are botanically based and formulated in Switzerland. Though they are not all natural they were developed from nature. What better than having a product heal your skin through nature itself.
I signed on to become a consultant for Arbonne International so that I may receieve 35% discount on the products.
If u interested I can send u a sample to try or u can go to www.arbonne.com and read testimonials and more about the ABC baby line. My ID is 115184759.
Goodluck!!
awww, poor baby. . i have eczema. well, i use to. the doctors prescribed me some medicated cream called Elidel. . that was a while ago, back in elementary school. so i dont know if they still the make the stuff. eventually , i grew out of it. so im sure he will too. :)

there is other tips at the website below
See your doctor and ask about Celestone M. It's only on prescription so a visit to the doc is a must. Ask first to make 100% sure it's suitable. (That's in Australia, it may have another name elsewhere)
Go to the doctor and they can prescribe a cream. My cousin is 2 and has had eczema since born you can get cream for in the bath as well!
Hope I helped

What is the best numbing cream to make my tattoo painless?
i want to get a tattoo but i can not take pan at all.
i have been recomended amatop cream. does it work? What is the best numbing cream to make my tattoo painless?
DONT drink!!
it thins the blood thats a stupid answer.
tbh i dont think you can because it can effect the way that the tattoo goes and can also cause infection.
so sorry lovley but your going to have to sit through it, i wish there was one cause im having mine soon. What is the best numbing cream to make my tattoo painless?
why don't you try DRNUMB'S NUMBING CREAM..
it's really safe and effective.. it might be the one you are looking for.

You can use Emla cream.... Its available over the internet. It is primarily used for injection sites for kids and adults with a low pain threshold.
So as for the anwer that it causes infections .. well... it doesnt.. If it did it would not be used in hospitals.
It only lasts for about 20 mins to 1 hour... so it may not last long enough for your tattoo. Also you should ask the artist if its ok to use too...
Anybody can take pain. Have you ever had children? That is pain like nothing else on this earth. I thought it would kill me at the time, but guess what, I'm still here...
Some of my tattoos have been unbearable. Some have been fine. But wait, look, I'm still here...
So don't make out you can't live through the pain.
Anybody can, it's just that you're too much of a pu.ssy to go through what the rest of us have to.
It defeats the object of a tattoo. It's art. The art is about the experience as well as the end result.
With an attitude like this, you do not deserve to be part of the tattoo culture. It makes a mockery of it. Go and buy some henna.
Don't be a wuss by using numbing cream! Just eat a big meal before hand, and be relaxed. A tattoo is not that bad, if your going to be a wuss about pain. Then forget getting a tattoo. Any form of pain is apart of the experience! I got mine on the spine, and in that generally area. I did not use any form of numbing cream. It did NOT hurt me at all!
i thought that numbing cream only numbed the surface of the skin but with a tattoo the ink goes through many layers so im with the first guy go with a hard drink but if you are bleeding to much most tattoo parlors wont tattoo you because blood would ruin the ink
Depending where you get it, it may not be that sore.
I think you should man up and just take the pain, that's part the parcel of getting a tattoo.
It really ain't that painful.
Besides, ya can't use ANY creams as there would be high risk of infection.Grin n bare it dude.
Well, my Dr prescribed a numbing cream for me to use when i have laser surgery on my tattoos to remove them, so you could try your GP if they are broad minded??
Try 'LOCAN' Cream--------- it worked 'Wonders' for my Piles
Stop being a pansy. The pain is part of the experience.
they don't hurt to much jsut man up
Hard liquor works...

Also will it work on getting rid of rosy cheeks? Is it available in Australia? How much does it cost? How exactly does colour corrective cream work, does it just cover things up or does is help get rid of things?
it bleaches your skin
mark kHow exactly does colour corrective cream work, does it just cover things up or does is help get rid of things?
The colors cancel out the color you're trying to get rid of.
I bought green to use on my zits, but it just ended up making me look like I have green zits lol. I should have probably used more expensive concealer. Gladly though, I don't have acne anymore.
I think Rosy cheeks are cute! =] I have to use blush or stay out in the cold for a long time to get them.
you can find the same cream at a mac store and im assuming your talking about the cream that6 is green, it will cool down red shades and then you put regular foundation over the top. it works good on enflammed zits, or rosacia. good luck i hope this helps :)myspace cursors

How do you make sherry cream sauce?
I have tried several recipes and none are what I am looking for. I want a sauce to serve over blue cheese and and peppered beef. How do you make sherry cream sauce?
Ask Sherry really nicely, and she'll cream the sauce. ;-) Seriously, though, 4 tablespoons of sherry (Taylor NY Port is very nice) added to any recipe for a cream sauce will do it. Here's a simple cream sauce I use from recipelink.com:
Heat butter (1/4 lb.) in saucepan; add flour (2 tablespoons) , stirring constantly. Do not brown, just let the flour dissolve in the butter. Slowly add milk (2 cups), stirring as it is added, stir in 4 tablespoons of sherry until blended. Take off the burner.

When making ice cream, can you substitue heavy cream for half and half?
Also, will the ice cream freeze as well? When making ice cream, can you substitue heavy cream for half and half?
you can it wont be as rich but I actually like it better
Sorry read your question backwards. Most icream is a blend of cream and 1/2 and 1/2When making ice cream, can you substitue heavy cream for half and half?
Yes you can but it's going to take longer because you're useing only 3/4 of the butter fat you need for a creamy dessert. Hope you're not useing a hand crank maker, if you are go get some quarters and call the kids to help
You can do that,it will make it a little more fattening but it'll work. And it will freeze well also.
Yes, you can substitute heavy cream for your recipe that calls for half and half, because... the recipe you have is actually substituting half and half for heavy cream!!! People have gotten away from using heavy cream because of the high calorie and fat content, but oh the joys of fat and calories...that's the part that tastes the best!! It will freeze into a creamy confection that has a richer, more satisfying taste and feel.
The down side of using heavy cream is this: after you've had real ice CREAM...... ice milk, ice half and half and ice yogurt will never again be quite good enough.
Yes you can and it makes it taste better too.

How can I stop my cream puffs from deflating?
Whenever I make cream puffs (croquembouche, eclair, choux pastry etc) The dough rises and looks beauty, then when I take it out of the oven they turn into pancakes. I wait for them to cool mostly in the oven, and there are no drafts or anything around! How can I stop my cream puffs from deflating?
missopin --- You say your puffs rise and look beautifull so i assume you are using the correct temperature. I suggest that when they Begin to color lower the temperature 20 or 25 degrees at a time until
you reach 250*F then turn oven off and wait
for the oven to cool down before taking them out of oven. It sounds to me that your flour isn't strong enough. When I made cream puffs and eclairs I used bread flour.
And I never ran into the problem you are having, but I used ammonia bicarbonate as the leavening agent. The suggestion above is if you are using all purpose flour. If you are using bread flour it must be in the leavening agent. Talk to your local baker and ask if they would sell you a small amount of
ammonia bicarbonate. But don't smell it up close it will take your breath away. Most
bakers use it for cream puffs, eclairs, and sugar cookies. I hope this helps you.

PS. If you can find this levening you want have to remove the center there will be very little center to remove. How can I stop my cream puffs from deflating?
maybe you need to try a new kind of flour or put it in the freezer
Maybe it's the humidity. If it's too humid it will deflate them.
Cook them longer in the oven. If your oven is not well vented the steam that is created in the oven while the puffs are cooking will cause the puff to soften. Good Luck
Mark
Try baking them a little longer. Also, with a thin knife, make a slit in the side of each puff to allow the air to escape. Place them back in the oven for a few minutes to crisp a bit.

A good recipe for sour cream and onion flavored seasoning?
I'd like to make my own sour cream and onion powdered seasoning. You know, the kind you can get on potato chips, dry powder, not a creamy dip. I want to use it on homemade chips, popcorn, sesame sticks, and other snacks. Does anyone know a recipe?A good recipe for sour cream and onion flavored seasoning?
what comes to mind is vinegar powder which is used in the vinegar and salt seasoning for chips ...perhaps if this is mixed milk powder %26amp; onion powder.(dried chives for color)..this might work...you can order vinegar powder in bulkhttp://www.suttonsbayspices.com/Flavored鈥?/a> on lineA good recipe for sour cream and onion flavored seasoning?
No; but here's a simple cream %26amp; onion dip:
Equal parts lo-fat sour cream %26amp; plain yoghurt.
1 tbsp of mayo for the preservatives %26amp; emulsifiers.
Add some Lipton's french onion soup mix, as desired.
The closest thing I can think of would be onion powder, garlic salt, I don't know where to get the sour cream flavor from though.......it would be good on Chex mix too!

Should chicken paprikash with sour cream be served over rice or pasta?
I麓ve never made this before, and have decided to make it tonight instead of chicken curry.Should chicken paprikash with sour cream be served over rice or pasta?
Rice..... or even better try it over some couscous. 矛You'll be able to find it quite easily in Germany.Should chicken paprikash with sour cream be served over rice or pasta?
also good with potatoes - but try cream, mustard and an egg yolk instead of sour cream - more complex and sweet Report Abuse
go with persian rice.
i would prefer this over a herbed rice
but you usually find when you try something like this and change it a little thats when you find the tastiest dinners
I would put it over a bed of egg noodles but you can put it over anything you like.
rice..
Hungarian chicken paprikash is served with dumplings. They are VERY easy to make. Not sure if this is the type you are making or not, but if it is, I can get my recipe for dumplings for you when I get home from work. Let me know...
i totally prefer it over pasta,(linguini to be exact) it's on of my favorite dishes, my mom likes it over rice( i think though becasue she doesn't want to waste the rice), but i think pasta was how it was originally served and i absolutely love it
I make chicken paprikash and I put it over noodles . medium egg noodles that is . I love that dish it was given to me by my mom in law from hungary . they are hungarian and I loved them to death . sadly they have both passed now . good luck and god bless.
Either or...but I prefer big wide egg noodles.....yummy.....toss 'em after draining with a wee bit of butter to prevent sticking....

What can be substituted for cream of tartar?
I have a recipe that calls for cream of tartar. What can I use instead of it? I didn't see it in my supermarket. What can be substituted for cream of tartar?
In your recipe the cream of tartar is used to stabilize the egg whites - it just makes it easier to whip the eggs to the correct consistency, you don't have to use it. I have made meringue cookies both with and without cream of tarter and they came out pretty much the same.
Cream of tarter is found with the spices in the baking aisle of the supermarket - most will have it.What can be substituted for cream of tartar?
If you are beating eggs whites and don't have cream of tartar, you can substitute white vinegar (in the same ratio as cream of tartar, generally 1/8 teaspoon per egg white). It is a little more problematic to find a substitute for cream of tartar in baking projects. White vinegar or lemon juice, in the ratio of 3 times the amount of cream of tartar called for, will provide the right amount of acid for most recipes. But that amount of liquid may cause other problems in the recipe, and bakers have found that cakes made with vinegar or lemon juice have a coarser grain and are more prone to shrinking than those made with cream of tartar.

What is the best shaving cream to use for a smooth head ?
I presently have to shave my head 3 consecutive times, per shave, every other day to get and keep a smooth cut. Is there a better cream or shaver other than the regular cream or the 5 blade razor !What is the best shaving cream to use for a smooth head ?
I use edge gel and a good triple blade razorWhat is the best shaving cream to use for a smooth head ?
I've been shaving my head for about 2 yrs now, and the best that I have found is regular Edge Shave gel with a pivoting head - 2 blade razor. I had started with the 4 and 5 blade razors, but they clogged up too easily, decreasing their effectiveness. Be sure and have a long %26amp; hot shower first so whatever hair is there is good and wet. Rub the shave gel into a lather %26amp; apply, then let sit for a good 3 or 4 minutes (further softens and lifts the hair) - brush your teeth or something in the meantime. Shave, but ensure you are rinsing/clearing the razor often.. like every stroke. Some say not to go against the grain as it can cause bumps/irritation, but I have never had a problem. Even still, I need to shave my head every 4 days or so for it to be smooth. Good luck.

What is the best moisturizing cream for dry skin?
I have a dry skin problem that surfaces every couple of days now. I was wondering, what is the best moisturizing cream?
I've tried:
- Dove
- Olay
- Vaselene
- Aveeno
Anyways, most of them seem relatively equal in effectiveness - they are reasonably effective in the short term, but the dry skin keeps on coming every couple of days.
They all claim to be loaded with Vitamin E, some with B1, B2, and A.
But which cream is the best one for chronic dry skin? Is it one I haven't tried yet, or are they all relatively equal? What is the best moisturizing cream for dry skin?
You have to use moisturizers consistently in order to prevent dry skin. If you aren't using them every day, begin to do that and see if it helps.
Also, try to figure out if there's any common factor among the days when your skin flares up. Is there a connection between the dry skin and a certain type of food, article of clothing, skin care product, etc.? Perhaps you are sensitive to something in your environment.
Try taking Omega 3 capsules - they are great for your body, and help prevent dry skin from the inside out.
Avoid any moisturizer that includes alcohol, especially scents. Look for unscented, hypoallergenic options, especially those that are all natural. What is the best moisturizing cream for dry skin?
Vanicream
The Body Shop makes one with hemp oil.
water is known to have lots of health benefits and that includes keeping the skin healthy. drinking adequate amount of water can help prevent skin dryness caused by moisture robbers. the use of an all natural skin care moisturizer can help make the skin moist all day. this can also help promote fast skin healing. try to be gentle to your skin, try to avoid scratching it for a break in the skin can promote skin irritation and secondary skin infections. visit http://www.skinsosilky.com for more good skin care tips.
I would try Utter Cream...It doesn't contain alcohol like all other lotions so it doesn't dry out your skin while moisturizing...It's great for people who have psoriasis too!
Have you tried Eucerin? It's in the skincare aisle...really thick and amazing.
A good method for helping dry skin is to slather your hands and feet with Vaseline or Bag Balm and put gloves and socks on while you sleep. It might feel kind of gross, but it's so good for dry skin.

What entree goes well with cream of asparagus soup?
Am having a friend over for dinner tonight and I am looking for a good entree to compliment this. What entree goes well with cream of asparagus soup?
Make a rack of lamb....easy stuff and DELISH! Coat with mustard and dredge in a mix of seasoned fresh bread crumbs. Bake until golden. OR, you can slice one up and make petite lamb chops seasoned with garlic and rosemary and give them a quick fry - about 2 minutes on each side (HOT PAN) for rare. Perfect with cream of asparagus soup! What entree goes well with cream of asparagus soup?
You could go with wine poached bass, grilled shrimp with lemon over rice pilaf, Garlic roasted chicken with egg noodles in herb sauce, etc. Basically any white meat with lemon or garlic accent will go very well. Good Luck!
Chicken spedini would be good. Chicken spedini is basically a flattened chicken breast, then parmeson (or other cheese) and a cracker mix, roll it up, and bake. You can google for a recipe. Simple and tasty.
Beef goes very well with Asparagus.
But it is mild enough that a nice white fish would do as well.
Pan fry it in some olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice... Dust with lemon pepper and your done!
Some rice on the side... A veg... Your good to go.
a large salad containing some form of protein.
maybe try a herb stuffed chicken breast, and something cheesy like garlic parm mashed potatoes or bacon wrapped pork loin is another great item to try...

What is the difference between cream rinse and conditioner?
I can remember my grandmother mentioning using cream rinse. Is this simply a term or is it a different product? Is it similar to saying ice box or freezer? Is it simply a dated product?
Thank you so much!!!!What is the difference between cream rinse and conditioner?
they are one and the same...creme rinse just removed tangles and made you hair slippier when wet so it was easier to come through.Conditioners..have different strengths and coat your hair to soften it..but they all work the same..they alter the surface of your hair during the wet phaseWhat is the difference between cream rinse and conditioner?
I remember my mother calling it cream rinse also. I think it's the same as conditioner.
conditioner and cream rinse is the same thing just different tearms.
cream rinse is just to get out tangles and conditioner is to condition your hair...
Old folks call it cream rinse....Nowadays we all just say conditioner. Some products do refer to it as cream rinse but on the labels but if you read it, it's one in the same.

How do you make ice cream (at home) to make it grainy?
I was just wandering about that....I dont know a lot about making ice cream, we usually get Blue Bell ice cream yummyHow do you make ice cream (at home) to make it grainy?
i usually get grainy homemade ice cream if I use lower fat milk and/or cream. If make ice cream with normal full fat milk and heavy cream. It is nice and smooth like an ice cream store would make. But if I use say half n half and nonfat milk, it gets all grainy.
just personal preference. How do you make ice cream (at home) to make it grainy?
Iced cream gets grainey when it freezes too slowly .

What kind of cream is inside cream-filled donuts?
And is there a recipe somewhere for it?What kind of cream is inside cream-filled donuts?
Generally its not really creme because its perishable but this instead...
INGREDIENTS
1 cup shortening
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup white sugar
DIRECTIONS
Using an electric mixer, whip shortening in a medium bowl with confectioners' sugar and white sugar until creamy, 5 to 10 minutesWhat kind of cream is inside cream-filled donuts?
the ';cream'; is really mostly sugar.
1 cup shortening (fat like Crisco, very very unhealthy)
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup white sugar
Whip together all ingredients until creamy (about 10 minutes with an electric mixer).
Otherwise just use Vanilla Pudding from Jello
sometimes its a frosting-cream sometimes its a bavarian (pudding) cream.
used to be there was a sweet filing different than there is now, but the only ones I've found now that I enjoy are the cream-filled ';custard'; donuts they sell. Custard is just that, custard, and can be purchased at any grocery store and you add milk to it, and it used to be served like pudding and tapioca as a plain desert with a meal. The taste is in it being refrigerated. Sure you can add sugar to it or vanilla to your liking. It used to be used in creame puffs (haven't heard that desert in many years) or in the boston cream pie (haven't heard that one either in many years). Or perhaps you're talking about the white cream. That is a kind of icing I think.
boston creme
mix together 1 (3.4-ounce) box vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix and 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
its like a frosting, or sometimes a sweetened crean cheese
It's pastry cream

Where can I buy chestnut cream made in france?
my friend cant find it and she ask me to see if i could find it online for her. any suggestions.Where can I buy chestnut cream made in france?
This is a French company. Well worth buying 6 cans!
http://www.amazon.com/Minerve-Chestnut-V鈥?/a>Where can I buy chestnut cream made in france?
';Autmommy'; is right I am a former chef and they produce it in Italy, germany, France and Spain. If you have a specialty store that sells those type of foods, you may have to buy just the sweetened chestnut paste, and what you do is open the tin, a lightly warm the mixture in the microwave, if your friend is adding flavours or liqour this is the best time, beat it smooth even a bit of icing sugar and vanilla is fine, then fold in a bout 2 cups of fresh whipped cream, packaged like Dream Whip or liquid like Rich's and even a regular tub of Cool Whip is fine.
We had a device to squeeze it threw, and make mounds, that is why the name for it in french is ';Mont Blanc'; after the highest French Alp. If you can also find glazed chestnuts known as marron glazee, they are a nice decoration.
Does it have to be made in France? Because this actually seems to be an Italian speciality item. If you don't mind it coming from Italy, you can get it on Amazon - $14.99 a jar!! I hope it is good stuff at that price..

I think you should do what the first girl said to do. Good luck
How can you make cream of wheat that is fluffy?
I bought a package of cream of wheat, and it doesn't taste fluffy and soft like it does when other people make it, but I followed the directions. It is instant cream of wheat, does this make a difference? How can you make cream of wheat that is fluffy?
I buy the same in bulk and it is not a fluffy cereal, it just lays there, I make mine in the microwave. How can you make cream of wheat that is fluffy?
If you're making it in the microwave then add a tiny bit (about a tablespoon) more liquid than they tell you to and don't over cook it. once it's finished cooking, let it sit for about a minute or two to absorb the liquid then stir it. should be fine.
I don't know what they do in the processing of the instant stuff, but it never really tastes as good as the regular cream of wheat. If you're looking for a cream of wheat fix then you may need to take the time and ditch the instant stuff and cook it on the stove top.
edit:
good point on the milk. I almost always use milk--it's how I get may dairy in. And forgot that not everyone consumes milk. You can sub a soy milk if you don't do dairy. The cereal will come out fluffier w/ a milk or milk-like product than it will w/ just plain water.
I make mine with milk instead of water...comes out fluffy every time.
Try the non instant, it really doesn't take that long to make, and add milk and or cream at the end.
Fluffy means with air. Unless you add milk or some other protein to farina you don't have much chance of getting 'fluffy'.

What is a good cream for dark circles under eyes?
I can't find any really good reviews on anything. I know it should be vitamin K based, but what is one that has worked for you? Also is there any good skin discoloration creams to even out the tone of skin? What is a good cream for dark circles under eyes?
Preparation H will help this. What is a good cream for dark circles under eyes?

Sleep. The non usage of bad chemicals in the body. Iron vitamins. and formost....Sunshine.
Unless, your naturally sick or from Mumbai? something see your Doctor.
i found this really great poduct to take away the puffyness under the eyes, and that also lightens dark circles up...it's only at Kohls, and the brand is called Good Skin...it's in the beauty department, and it is also online...here's the link for it, and it lasts a long time...

try to use mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lancime or clinque.
Arbonne International sells great botanical, natural products, and they have 2 great eye creams - NutriminC RE9, and Intelligence Not-So-Basic.
http://www.kristinramey.myarbonne.com
MAC also sells an eye cream that creates the illusion of removing darkness under the eyes. It doens't make it go away, but when you wear it, it helps reduce the appearance. I don't remember what it is called, and I have no idea what the ingredients are.
I have really dark circles under my eyes - it's a genetic curse of mine. I've been using Hylexin for almost a year now and it works really great. In about 10 minutes it takes away about 75% of the darkness. I don't know if it works on puffiness, because I don't have that problem. It is pricey - one tube costs almost $100, but it lasts forever and it does work.
For uneven complexion use Clinique Total Turnaround - cream or serum. It gently exfoliates without drying the skin and evens out the color by slothing off the outer, discolored layer of skin.
Bailey's Irish Creme will cause rings if you use enough....

What is a good cream to have around the barn for minor cuts and scrapes?
What do you use when your horse gets cuts?
Preferably something that can be purchased through Dover! What is a good cream to have around the barn for minor cuts and scrapes?
Corona. My horse cut his foot at a local show. Corona did the trick.
http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp鈥?/a>
WHOEVER put a thumbs down on ALL the corona answers. Isnt that a bit childish? What is a good cream to have around the barn for minor cuts and scrapes?
Good old fashioned Neosporin. Just read the ingredients and make sure your horse doesn't have an allergy to it: your vet should know. I recommend the Neosporin that does not have pain reliever: it's just extra thrown in that can cause an allergic reaction in your horse if there's something in there you miss. It works every time for me: my quarter horse fell and scraped up his hocks.. This had them scabbed up and healing in no time !
Edit: You can pick it up at the nearest pharmacy, too. Not hard to find !
i use neosporin if it is a cut and I like (I know it sounds funny but ) preperation H for scrapes it heals and helps the hair grow back faster it also works for scours and helps minimize old scars also for hair to grow back faster after wound has healed good old wd 40 works
Liquid Wound Care. It works for minor cuts, even bleeding fly bites, but also works with larger things, like bites from other horses and things like that. It also works for fungus and infections.
We always used Nitrofurazone for healing cuts. It might be called Furazone or something similar, and is found at your local tack store. If you want it online, check out this link:
http://www.horse.com/products/sku-BCL80.鈥?/a>
Fura-zone (sp?) mixed with Adolf's meat tenderizer (no kidding!). Prevents infection AND proud flesh.
Seems as though most use Corona, myself included.
ichthammol dressing is great... draws out the pus and infection.
swat for wounds repels flies away from the affected area... great if you have big problems with flies everywhere, and to make things better laying eggs in the wounds.
Bag Balm :) My dad says bag balm fixes everything. I'm beginning to believe him!
corona is good for small abrasions, but also have a tub of vaseline around to keep cuts from chapping in the cold or keeping dirt out
i use furizone it works great!!
Tea Tree Oil, Furazone(sp?),Furall %26amp; Wounderdust. These are some of what I have.
I mainly use Corona oitment, it works great. But also some plain old neosporin for people's cuts works. If it is a fungusy calice try some Wonder Dust, I am pretty sure Dover sells it(can be used for regular cuts to but I find it works better for more infected or fungusy rubs).
Sudocrem
Great for everything, sticks really well and is waterproof.
Buy it from the chemists.
Edit:: just look at all the thumbs down !
Merry Christmas !
I agree with the above, Corona. Only once we had a very big misconception, I asked my father to get me the corona for my horses foot so he comes out with a bottle of corona. (This was at a fair, so he actually went into it and bought the beer.)
But apart from Corona, I like to have a bit of Furozone on hand.
sudacrem, you can get it from any pharamasist and it is water proof so will not wash off in the rain, it also soothes irritated or raw skin. good luck!
Horseman's Dream Vet cream is simple, yet effective for little scrapes, cuts, and bed sores...tried and true
Bag Balm, it is good for people, cows and horses.
I keep a wide variety of supplies on hand ';just in case';, but more often than not I'll use either Nolvasan ointment (first choice) or nitrofurazone. If it's something that I want to draw, I'll use ichthamol, but that's some nasty stinky stuff for sure. But it does serve it's purpose.
I've never heard of Corona. Here in Australia, Pottie's White Ointment is pretty ubiquitous. You put it on quite thickly once or twice a day. It's mainly zinc, which helps cover the cut and heal it faster when it covers the wound completely, it keeps flies from getting into it, and the zinc is a great sunscreen too! I use it on my horse's muzzle on his blaze.
I use Swat Fly Repellent Ointment but i like Corona also.
i use tea trea oil. it is herbal and helps the fur to regrown itn the are a faster.

What is a good cream to heal scars and marks?
I am using salvon at the moment because someone said it is the best but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. What is a good cream to heal scars and marks?
Oh Dear,
you have to understand that scars and marks should be deal professionally, i mea with a Medical Doctor that specializes in Dermatology (Skin, Hair and Nails Doctors)
Many factors to be considered in dealing with it,
first, the cause of the scar/marks
second, how deep such affects the skin; and i am sorry to tell you that scars that deeply penetrates the skin cannot be healed through creams and medicines, they need surgical intervention.
So i suggest to see your Dermatologist for Treatment ASAPWhat is a good cream to heal scars and marks?
Vitamin E oil is one of the best things to put on your skin. It can lighten scars (depending on how deep they go), but won't make it completely invisible. Your dermatologist can help out if the scars are large and deep. I'd try straight Vitamin E oil if they are not. Or a lotion that says it has Vitamin E in it.
try bio oil, i heard its really good, i might try it =]
i think it helps with like strech marks and stuff to , lol might come in handy ?

Oh Dear,
you have to understand that scars and marks should be deal professionally, i mea with a Medical Doctor that specializes in Dermatology (Skin, Hair and Nails Doctors)

What exactly is the difference between using whipping cream and heavy cream in baking?
I'm specifically referring to pies here since I made a peaches and cream pie with heavy cream and it came out very runny. Would it have been less runny if I had used whipping cream? The recipe I used didn't specify what kind of cream. What exactly is the difference between using whipping cream and heavy cream in baking?
Whipping cream and heavy cream are the same thing. I find that to keep cream from getting runny, before whipping the cream, put the beaters and aGLASS or STAINLESS STEEL bowl into the freezer for at least 1 hr. Cream whips very well when the utensils are very cold and does not whip well when you use a plastic bowl. What exactly is the difference between using whipping cream and heavy cream in baking?
They are pretty much the same thing...except one has been whipped and the other hasn't.
they are the same thing. whipping cream is essentially designed for whipping but its the same thing
I personally don't think there is any real difference between the two.
What did you use to set the cream? Usually, there is a thickener added in a recipe.
Whipping cream and heavy cream are the same product.

What is the best cream for old and new stretch marks during pregnancy?
I have old stretch marks from my first pregnancy and now am pregnant again, what can I use that will help me get rid of them? What is the best cream for old and new stretch marks during pregnancy?
hi
im 19 weeks pregnant and from about 15 weeks iv developed strech marks i was using roc maternity oil 2 times a day and it did nothing!!! im not particulary carrying very big either so its strange that i have started developing them so early?!?!?!?! however i have heard bio oil is supposed to be very good however atm im just using body butter but i have developed a few more in the time iv been using it. to stop myself from getting so down i just decided to think of them as a medal, your having a baby the best thing a women can ever do and u would be daft to think ur not gonna get any lasting effects think of it as a good tthing. i like mine because it shows my baby is growing!!!What is the best cream for old and new stretch marks during pregnancy?
There isn't a way of getting rid of them, but if you want to make them less noticeable and help prevent new ones from surfacing try cocoa/shea butter. There are also some oils and lotions that help improve skin elasticity (which will help prevent new stretch marks), but they can be fairly expensive. Another option is a self tanner to camouflage them, but being pregnant, that may not be the best route.
Nothing, absolutely nothing will work for them, over time with the help of creams and such they'll fade, but they'll always be there, they'll just fade from being red/purple to a white colour.
A stretchmark is formed in the dermis layer of the skin, which is too deep down for a cream or oil to reach, so it doesn't do anything for them.
Laser surgery can take them away, but that's more harm than it's worth as it can cause scars from were the laser was applied.
Apply vitamin C or E cream to your abdomen every day. After your bath or shower, dry off, then put enough cream in your hand to cover your hips and abdomen and smooth the cream over your belly. Check out http://useinfo-stretchmarks.blogspot.com鈥?/a> for more useful info.
Stretch marks happen very deep within your skin and unfortunately can't be removed with any cream (no matter what anyone tries to sell you). Just keep your skin hydrated so it's not itchy. Over time, your marks will fade a bit.

Snake oil. What a lame comment. At any rate, it is not adviseable, to use any kind of oil or lotion,at this matter, since it will aid the hands, to slip and glide, to frequently, and miss the reflexpoints, you are trying, to target.I will work with cornstarch, as this is a neutral applicator to use Report Abuse

Can I put whipping cream in a freezer?
My whipping cream curdled, I scooped some and tasted it and it is still good. Can I still use it? The expire date is another 5 months. Can I put whipping cream in a freezer?
Yes , you can put it into the freezer and then use it but in limited ways.
Try adding it to a curry sauce (eg.butter chicken) or to a marinade or into a pasta dish (eg.pasta Alfredo or even a simple mac and cheese.)
No one will ever know!
Just don't use it in a desert or as a topping .Can I put whipping cream in a freezer?
Freeze it - no problem.
You can use it in soups and sauces, but don't expect it to whip after freezing.
What on earth kind of whipping cream lasts 5 months. Certainly not the kind in the carton you buy at the supermarket. The expiry on that is maybe 2 weeks.
Are you sure it curdled? Or did some of the fat in the cream just congeal toward the top of your carton? It may have done that if your refrigerator is especially cold. If it was truly curdled it wouldn't taste right or smell right.
And everyone that advised you to freeze and use it in recipes is correct....it won't whip up after freezing it. But check out the true status of it now.
You can freeze whipped cream to preserve it but if it curdled i would just throw it out because it is bad. It probably just got to warm.

How to carry ice cream back home from supermarket?
I bought a box of ice cream in stick lately. When I reached home, all melted in their own packing. 6 sticks of ice cream in their own packing in a paper box.
I put them inthe freezer but they never got harden like a good ice cream anyway.
How to carry this kind of ice cream home, and they don't melt?
I know if I can remake a melted ice cream back to original, I am not far from building my own ice cream factory already. How to carry ice cream back home from supermarket?
Carry them in a Polystyrene/Thermocol Box.How to carry ice cream back home from supermarket?
When you go to a ';Supermarket'; you may also buy other frozen items. Buy frozen items last and keep them together. Have them placed in one bag together and even request a double bag or bring your own. Drive home directly with the heater (or blower) off. Place items in the freezer at once. What else can you do?
On a lighter note, I met a couple (millionaire) ladies on a three-masted sailing cruise who claimed that their chief enjoyment was traveling the world looking for the very best icecream. Perhaps they will visit your new factory. Good luck.
I put mine with the other frozen stuff I buy (e.g., green beans %26amp; soy burgers)
Another alternative is to carry an insulated bag with you and put it there.

Why does chocolate ice cream stain everything and how do you get rid of the stain once it's there?
Is there a way to get rid of a chocolate ice cream stain if you didn't pre-treat the stain to begin with? Why does chocolate ice cream stain everything and how do you get rid of the stain once it's there?
Not pre-treating makes it more of a challenge. Right now, try Steps 3-7 and in the future do ALL of the following steps:
Step 1. Remove as much chocolate as possible with a dull knife or spoon.
Step 2. Rinse the stain from the back thoroughly with cold water.
Step 3. Rub liquid detergent on the stain and allow it to stand for at least 5 minute
Step 4. Soak the stain in cold water for 10-15 minutes or until the stain becomes more loosened. Every three to five minutes, rub the stained area.
Step 5. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 6. Repeat until no more chocolate stain can be removed.
Step 7. If an oily stain remains, add a stain remover stick, gel, or spray. Wash normally.
Best of luck! Why does chocolate ice cream stain everything and how do you get rid of the stain once it's there?
Did you toss a chocolately item into the wash and ruin all the clothes? Drag. I'd squirt all the stains with a lot of ';spray n wash';, (wait 10 minutes) then put them in the washer, on cold, with a double dose of detergent added. Let it all soak for half an hour, then run it through the wash cycle. Check each garment before drying. Those that still have stains, run thru this process again, before drying.
I find that spray n wash works great for many difficult stains.
