What entree goes well with cream of asparagus soup?

Am having a friend over for dinner tonight and I am looking for a good entree to compliment this.What entree goes well with cream of asparagus soup?
Make a rack of lamb....easy stuff and DELISH! Coat with mustard and dredge in a mix of seasoned fresh bread crumbs. Bake until golden. OR, you can slice one up and make petite lamb chops seasoned with garlic and rosemary and give them a quick fry - about 2 minutes on each side (HOT PAN) for rare. You could go with wine poached bass, grilled shrimp with lemon over rice pilaf, Garlic roasted chicken with egg noodles in herb sauce, etc. Basically any white meat with lemon or garlic accent will go very well. Good Luck!
Chicken spedini would be good. Chicken spedini is basically a flattened chicken breast, then parmeson (or other cheese) and a cracker mix, roll it up, and bake. You can google for a recipe. Simple and tasty.
Beef goes very well with Asparagus.





But it is mild enough that a nice white fish would do as well.





Pan fry it in some olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice... Dust with lemon pepper and your done!





Some rice on the side... A veg... Your good to go.

maybe try a herb stuffed chicken breast, and something cheesy like garlic parm mashed potatoes or bacon wrapped pork loin is another great item to try...
