Good luck! Can you substitute anything for cream of tartar?
You can use white vinegar (NOT the cider kind), use 3 times the amount of tarter originally asked for in the recipe. You can do the same with lemon juice, also, but neither is as good as the cream of tarter pre-packaged. I've done both of the substitutions at different times and regretted it both times.

But hey, if it was me, in this snowstorm were having? I'd give the vinegar a whirl if you think the lemon will mar the flavor of your dish.
There is no recommended substitution for cream of tartar per cdkitchen.

Substitutes

1 tablespoon of lemon per 1 tsp Cream of Tartar.

Or, apparently you can use Baobab tree pods, though going to the supermarket to buy Cream of Tartar might be a bit less involved than hunting for a nearby Baobab tree.
