How can you make cream of wheat that is fluffy?

I bought a package of cream of wheat, and it doesn't taste fluffy and soft like it does when other people make it, but I followed the directions. It is instant cream of wheat, does this make a difference? How can you make cream of wheat that is fluffy?
I buy the same in bulk and it is not a fluffy cereal, it just lays there, I make mine in the microwave. How can you make cream of wheat that is fluffy?
If you're making it in the microwave then add a tiny bit (about a tablespoon) more liquid than they tell you to and don't over cook it. once it's finished cooking, let it sit for about a minute or two to absorb the liquid then stir it. should be fine.

I don't know what they do in the processing of the instant stuff, but it never really tastes as good as the regular cream of wheat. If you're looking for a cream of wheat fix then you may need to take the time and ditch the instant stuff and cook it on the stove top.

edit:

good point on the milk. I almost always use milk--it's how I get may dairy in. And forgot that not everyone consumes milk. You can sub a soy milk if you don't do dairy. The cereal will come out fluffier w/ a milk or milk-like product than it will w/ just plain water.
I make mine with milk instead of water...comes out fluffy every time.
Try the non instant, it really doesn't take that long to make, and add milk and or cream at the end.
Fluffy means with air. Unless you add milk or some other protein to farina you don't have much chance of getting 'fluffy'.
