What's the difference between whipped cream and whipping cream?

Whipping cream is also known as heavy cream. It's between 30-35% milk fat. You have to whip/wisk it with a bit of sugar until it forms ';peaks';. The finished product of that is whipped cream. Cool whip, etc. is not whipped cream. It's an artificial whipped topping that tastes (kind of) like whipped cream.

Hope that clarified :)What's the difference between whipped cream and whipping cream?
Whipped cream is whipping cream (a thick cream from cow's milk) that has been whipped. If used for a desert, some sugar is usually added.

Cool whip is not whipped cream, and is not made from the product of a cow. Reddiwhip is whipped cream in a pressurized can. Check the labels.
