Salt water bath won't do it. The creams work by completely covering the skin from top to toe except for the face and remain on for 24 hours to kill the mite. If it was as simple as a salt water bath one could go to the beach and be cured. It's highly contagious and many creams will not be strong enough to kill all the mites. Sometimes its best to get the dearer one first and know it will work rather than going with something cheaper and then having to go back and buy the original cream as well because the cheaper one didnt work.
