if you have a cast iron Dutch oven and plastic tub you can make ice cream. here is the recipe i use for italian spumoni, but you can make any flavor(s)

Dutch Oven Style Spumoni Ice Cream

David Herzog

1 package pistachio instant pudding (3.4 oz.)

1 package chocolate instant pudding (3.4 oz.)

1 package vanilla instant pudding (3.4 oz.)

For each package of pudding:

2 c. milk

½ c. sugar

1 egg

¼ tsp. lemon juice

1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)

1 c. heavy whipping cream

For pistachio flavor:

¾ c. pistachio nuts, shelled and chopped

For strawberry flavor:

¼ cup strawberry flavored Nestlie’s Quick or similar

1/8 tsp red food coloring

¼ c. dehydrated cherries

3 10” Dutch ovens, chilled in ice and rock salt, one for each flavor

Pack the Dutch ovens in ice layered with rock salt within ¼ inch from the top of the oven.

For each flavor, mix pudding and milk. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and egg, add to pudding mixture.

Pour mixture into a dry Dutch oven, add whipping cream and evaporated milk; stir. Cover with lid.

Lift the lid and stir every 15 minutes. Add ice and rock salt as needed, and drain water every 30 minutes. Total freezing time, about 90 minutes, or longer if it’s hot out. May be eaten soft but more time is needed for a harder product. When frozen, combine all 3 flavors and lightly swirl together just before serving. Or, layer in another Dutch oven like a cake. Serves 24 to 30
If you can get your hands on some dry ice, you CAN mix it in to the ice cream base to get it to freeze. It takes some practice, and some SERIOUS care (you don't want to mess around with dry ice if you don't know what you're doing), but ice cream made this way can end up better that the churned stuff because the ice crystals are smaller.

You can also use liquid nitrogen, but you'll have an easier time getting dry ice than liquid nitrogen.
We made ice cream in my chem class in high school!

We added sugar, milk, and vanilla essence inside one quart-sized ziplock bag. Then you put a bunch of ice (fill up maybe 30%-40%) and rock salt (if you can find it), but otherwise table salt, 1/4 cup into a gallon sized bag and start SHAKING! It takes about 20 minutes, but you can do it.

For four ';scoops'; (1/2 cup servings), use 1 cup sugar, 2 cups milk (whole milk probably tastes best), and a teaspoon vanilla essence.

Be warned: This method of making ice cream mostly will just piss you off...but it's pretty cheap.

EDIT:

You have to do it this way...you can't just put the batter in the freezer because it won't blend together properly, because you'll just end up with sugary milk and spots of vanilla. SOWWY. You can try using an empty aluminum coffee can with the salt %26amp; ice instead of the gallon size bag, this might be easier.
You get cream and sugar and put it into a bag. Then you fill up a larger bag with water and ice and salt (salt makes the water not freeze). And then put the smaller bag into the larger bag. Then you shake it up for several minutes and when its done, it will taste REALLY good.
Get some flavoring, for example strawberry and then grind some ice up. really fine ice. You add a bit of milk with the ice and put it in a coffe thing that keeps coffee hot. Then shake it up as much as you can, for a long while, it won't make very much but it will be delicous!!
Well, if you live in a cold SNOWY region there are ways to make ice cream right from snow! I did it with my grade school class and it was delicious (well everything was delicious at that age) Im really not sure about the recipe tho...check google. :)
