Ok so...I pretty much just take a knife every minute or so and scratch it along the walls as its still turning and it does the trick...thanks ya'all Report Abuse

Try adding salt to the ice.
Salt melts the ice where it makes the temperature lower than 32*F. This helps make the ice cream mix freeze more evenly.
I heard that you dont actually need to freeze the cannister prior to making icecream to prevent that exact problem. Give it a try and see how you go - good luck!
Exchange the machine...something is not right.
