Can you use double cream when making custard, instead of single cream?

Also, can you make custard with milk and eggs only? Can you use double cream when making custard, instead of single cream?
oh yes in fact some custard recipes require double cream

Custard with milk and eggs only sounds good, but you will know that that is also the recipe for Scrambled Egg. Use Milk if you must but add caster sugar eh ? not sure Why you would want to miss out the vanilla and nutmeg though ?Can you use double cream when making custard, instead of single cream?
Brittish?? double cream in England is known as heavy whipping cream in USA. Single cream in England is known as half n half in USA.

Yes it is possible to use any of these interchangably when making custards. The richer the milk in butterfat content the richer the custard will be when finished.
Yes, you can, and you need to add sugar to the eggs and milk, or honey.
