What's the difference between cream cheese and cream cheese product?

I saw some cream cheese product at the store and have been wondering what it is about the process where it's not allowed to be called just cream cheese anymore.

Thanks. What's the difference between cream cheese and cream cheese product?
It i mainly the result of the one being the product being modified, it would contain cream cheese plus stabo\ilzers and other milk solids/product. Like these flavoured things for bagels, the addition of fruits and vegetables destabilzes the cream cheese and addtional ingredient are added to keep it solid, fresh and allow it to maintain the flavours with out going off.

Whipped cream cheese and lite are the same, they have added milk products or a gelatin or gum based enhancement to allow it to be called a product not as cream cheese. What's the difference between cream cheese and cream cheese product?
